Bonds was out of his depth as manager and thankfully Redknapp took over. I was at the training ground once and Bonds was far more interested in his copy of the Racing Post and filling out a shitload of betting slips in full view of everyone. Cheers Bill, thanks for popping in,
Bonds the legend then went on to manage Millwall.
I totally understand the respect that Bonds the player gets but the abuse that Redknapp gets is obscene and seriously flawed.

There's a lot of truth in what you say. I applaud Redknapp for his knowledge of the game and some of the players he brought in, but I'm afraid Bonzo is dead right about his character.
Your earlier remark about Lampard 'seeing the picture' on the playing field originated with Malcolm Allison's tuition of the young Bobby Moore and Lampard senior would have also passed that on to his son.

as a manager?...he took over from macari in the second division and started well..got promoted..then it turned bandy ...it wasnt pretty.

Frank Lampard Jnr did a fairly recent interview on football whispers..which i believe Matt Lorenzo has involvement in...Matt is a top geezer..like him a lot.
anyway..it was a good interview..how his old man taught him about 'seeing the pictures.'..old school.
